With almost three decades’ experience under our belt, we’ve had plenty of opportunity to figure out who it is we’re best suited to.
And experience tells us that people who benefit most from what we have to offer are:
• Motivated to take action that will materially improve their situation
• Disciplined in sticking with the customised strategy we develop for them
• Responsive to our ongoing advice (and who check in with us if they’re contemplating a decision that will significantly impact their financial situation).
They ‘get’ that achieving financial clarity and confidence is a joint effort: that there are responsibilities they need to fulfill – and that equally, there are aspects that are best left to us. (And that by delegating key areas such as strategy, asset allocation and implementation, they are assured of a more coherent and effective outcome.)
Let’s talk numbers
To be fair to both of us, we think it’s also important to be upfront about the numbers.
Given our significant technical expertise and the extent of services and support we offer, we’ve found that our services are ideally suited to people who have a household income of $200,000 p.a. or higher. The strategies and resources we offer are ideally suited to clients with this level of income, and where we can make the biggest difference.
Assessing the benefits
When we meet with you, we can generally assess the extent to which we will be able to assist you in improving your financial circumstances.
We always evaluate the benefits you are likely to gain against the fees we would need to charge – and then we only move forward if we are confident your advantages will considerably outweigh your fees.
With many longstanding client relationships (including quite a few who’ve been with us for a decade or two), we know that our approach works well and that our clients appreciate the value we offer. [Read more in our testimonials.]
About our fees
As noted above, we are very focused on ensuring the fees you pay provide you with substantial value for money.
We believe our fees are a fair reflection of our expertise, support and the meaningful improvements we deliver. When we meet with you, we’ll have a fair understanding of your particular requirements, and we’ll be able to provide you with a ballpark idea of the fees we believe will apply. We will confirm these in writing in the proposal we prepare for you. We always let you know upfront what our fees will be before proceeding with any work we do on your behalf.
Who we’re not
Just as we set out on these pages who we are, we think it’s just as important to be clear about who we are not.
Put simply, we’re not a ‘get rich quick’ financial advisory firm. So if that’s what you’re looking for, we’re not for you.
Our approach is to carefully craft a strategy for you that takes into account a whole host
of factors. Typically we take a longer term view and incorporate underlying assets that we believe are more likely to weather the peaks and troughs of the market as stably as possible.
We don’t chop and change around wildly following the whims of the market. We think that is a fast way to go backwards. And if that makes us the proverbial tortoise in the race, then we’re OK with this.
In short, we’re here for you for the long haul, and we do all we can to create a relationship in which you feel supported and encouraged in the pursuit of your goals.
If this approach resonates with you, we’d love to talk further.
